What is it?
Academic WorldQuest™ is a flagship youth education program of the national network of World Affairs Councils. It is a team competition that engages more than 4,000 high school students annually across the United States to test their knowledge of global issues and foreign policy. In the competition, four-person teams compete by answering multiple-choice questions divided into ten unique and engaging thematic categories.

Teams consist of four high-school students. Each school may register up to three teams. The registration fee is $50 per team. Lunch is provided.

Represent San Antonio in Washington, DC
The winning team from our local competition wins a trip to Washington, DC to represent their school and San Antonio at the Academic WorldQuest National Competition. The National Competition is attended by more than 225 of the nation’s most promising high school students, along with their parents, teachers, and chaperones. This year’s National Competition will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2017 in Washington, DC. While in the Nation’s Capital, teams participate in a variety of global events and tours. This year’s competition will feature a welcome reception at the U.S. Institute of Peace on Friday, April 27. (Winning team’s attendance is mandatory.)
